Giftlit is a custom built shopping cart selling gift packages of books.

Brief:
Reskin the site with new artwork

Implementation:
I built the site from scratch in PHP/MySql. The latest project involved reskinning the site to create a wider content area. The original site had a width of 750 pixels. However in the last few years monitors have become much wider and the new standard is around 950 pixels wide.

I first converted the photoshop comps/artwork to HTML and created the supporting JavaScript / jQuery code. After that I built working models of the navigation and then finally combined the work and installed on the site.

I also cleaned up much of the code, removed unwanted functions and artwork.
